The Boys are back in town Thursday night for the next episode of Supernatural, entitled "Houses of the Holy." Find out why the cynical and sceptical Dean Winchester now believes in angels!

While I'm on the subject, it seems to me that Season 2 is finally gaining momentum, but I fear it might be a case of too little, too late. Whatever would I do in the after-life without my favourite programme? Do all good things have to end? My Thursday nights would never be the same again! Now, remind me...how many days until Season 2 is released on dvd? Check out the hot Winchester Boys this Thursday at 6pm on the CW Network and scare the hell out of yourself.

"Young and sweet, only seventeen..."

My darling niece Victoria turns 17 today. She was the sweetest little angel running around in her frilly little dresses all those years ago, and she has blossomed into a beautiful and utterly delightful young lady. And she just passed her driver's license! Uncle ABBA couldn't be more proud of her. She is the dancing queen indeed! Happy Birthday, Vic. When's our next Supernatural night?

Cursum Perficio

Marilyn Monroe reached the end of her journey at the age of 36. She was interred on August 8, 1962 at Westwood Memorial Cemetery.

"At the request of Marilyn, Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow" was played...Marilyn was dressed in a green Pucci dress, and a green chiffon scarf...she held a posy of pink teacup roses, given to her by Joe Dimaggio during his vigil at her side the night before.

"Joe sent fresh roses to Marilyn's crypt 3 times a week for 20 years - a promise he made her years before she died. "

"Now I see you've broken a feather..."

Edna St. Vincent Millay died at age 58 in her beloved Steepletop. She had spent the last year of her life grieving the loss of her devoted husband, Eugene, and battling her addictions to alcohol and morphine. She was found at the bottom of her main staircase, having apparently fallen during the night. Her wine glass was placed carefully on one of the top steps, and then (as is alleged) she accidentally tumbled to her death. This has never been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Was the emotional and physical pain too much for her? Could she simply not endure another day without her other half? Were her friends aware of her despair? We will never know, I suppose. But she left behind a wealth of unpublished manuscripts and poems, some of which were made public after her death, and in these writings she leaves clues about her frame of mind in her last months on Earth. We are grateful she left us so much to read. And we are still, so many decades later, "mixing her" with our talk, and remembering what a passionate creature she was. And how broken this little sparrow had become.

Supernatural Boys are back in town!

TV's hottest paranormal hotties return with the new episode Playthings tonight. Rumour has it the plotline (isn't that why we all watch the show anyway?) involves demented spirits and devilish dolls causing trouble in a remote and spooky hotel. I have a two part question: how do we check into this haunted hotel, and is room service available?

Strange Birds on the Wing

The delectable and multi-talented Keanu-clone David Usher returns with a brand new album Strange Birds, released this March. The first single, "The Music," is already receiving lots of airplay. Must say I'm pretty damned excited about it. I play his records constantly. After all, it's all about the music, isn't it?

DREAMS COME TRUE IN HOLLYWOOD

News bulletin: Meryl Streep, one of the most brilliant actresses of all time, has signed on to star in the new film adaptation of Mamma Mia!. She will play the lead role of Donna Sheridan, and filming begins in London and Greece this summer. I could not be happier. I have adored this woman since seeing the greatest movie ever made, The Bridges of Madison County, for the first time in 1995. And now, she's set to star in a film based on the musical based on the music of the greatest band in history. Can it get any better? The Mamma Mia! movie will be produced by Tom Hanks, Judy Craymer, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, and is scheduled for release during the musical's 10th anniversary year, 2009. Bring it on home, Mama Meryl! You are a Super Trouper.
