Cursum Perficio

Marilyn Monroe reached the end of her journey at the age of 36. She was interred on August 8, 1962 at Westwood Memorial Cemetery.

"At the request of Marilyn, Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow" was played...Marilyn was dressed in a green Pucci dress, and a green chiffon scarf...she held a posy of pink teacup roses, given to her by Joe Dimaggio during his vigil at her side the night before.

"Joe sent fresh roses to Marilyn's crypt 3 times a week for 20 years - a promise he made her years before she died. "
